Description
Exoto 1967-68 Lotus 49, No. 4, Jim Clark driver. Clark won his last race, the 1968 South Africa Grand Prix, in this car on New Year's Day of that year. From Exoto's website:Jim Clark drove this car, Lotus 49/R4, to victory in the South African Grand Prix on New Years Day 1968. Sadly, it would be the final win for Clark prior to his fatal accident in the Hockenheim Formula 2 race in April of that same year. With this victory, Clark became the first man to win 25 Grand Prix races, breaking the legendary Juan Manuel Fangio's record 24 wins. This was also the final appearance of the Lotus team in their famous green and yellow colors due to a newly signed sponsorship deal with the 'Gold Leaf' brand owner tobacco firm.
Car is in excellent condition and from the same collection of over 200 vehicles that I have been selling from over the past couple of months. The car has no defects that I note upon close inspection. Car will be packed with care as others I've sold without original packaging have been.
If you've bought from me before you know what to expect and I ask only that you check the pics - also if you've bought from me and left feedback feel free to make a reasonable offer. Others should inspect the pics AND my feedback for an indication of what to expect from me as a seller.
Thanks for looking and I appreciate your business.
