    Description

You are bidding on a brand new unused Golok Betawi from Java, Indonesia. Great heavy chopper/bushcraft knife with thick carbon steel blade, comfortable handle and traditional wooden sheath. Heavy carbon steel blade tapers toward the point from about 1/8" at the hilt and is about 1 3/4" wide at the tip. Nicely weight-forward design. Traditional wood handle is comfortable and appropriate for a weight-forward fighting blade. Metal collar at hilt. The traditional wood sheath is brown/black with copper colored metal bands. The blade fits snugly in the sheath but there is a little play. The knife is sharp, but some spots are sharper than others and it could use retouching. Hand forged knife with the expected irregularities and imperfections. These knives are meant to be worn stuck inside your belt so they do not have a belt loop to speak of. This is a brand new, unused item without packaging. No condition issues to speak of, the hand forged carbon steel blade has the inevitable slight discolorations that could be polished off. 12" x 1 3/4" blade, 17 1/2" overall. See photos for details.
