    Description

For sale is a 1963 Vox Cliff Richards reverb unit. READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE BIDDING. This is a Vintage Vox reverb unit in great cosmetic condition. If you are familiar with these units, you will know that the reverb pan is not the best. Tom Jennings who owned Vox JMI refused to pay the .00 licensing fee to Hammond for the use of their reverb pans in Vox amps so they made their own reverb pans using crystal phono cartridges. The result was an adequate sounding reverb unit that falls short of the Fender units of that era. Somewhere along the line somebody replaced the phono cartridges not only Does it decrease the collector value but the pan causes distortion at high saturation levels. The pan is old and brittle. I will pack it well but I cannot guarantee that it will not be damaged in shipping. Therefore the unit is sold AS IS with no returns. Buyer pays actual shipping costs.
